Traditional sandblasting fires dry abrasive at a surface with compressed air. It works, but it throws a cloud of dust across the whole area, heats thin metal, and usually means hauling the job to a shop with a blast booth.

Dustless Blasting® is a wet abrasive process. Water and abrasive are mixed in the blast pot before they leave the nozzle, so each particle is wrapped in water when it hits the surface. That changes a few important things.

The dust stays down

Wet abrasive is heavy, so it drops instead of drifting. The dust plume is greatly reduced, which is why we can work in a driveway, a boatyard or a parking lot while other people carry on nearby.

The surface stays cool

Dry blasting creates friction heat. The water keeps the surface cool, which suits trucks, trailers, frames and heavy equipment. For car bodies we use dry media blasting instead.

Recycled glass instead of sand

We use 100% recycled glass as the blast media. It cuts quickly, contains no free silica like sand does, and won't harm grass or plants around a residential job.

No flash rust before you prime

Bare steel that gets wet can rust quickly. A rust inhibitor in the process holds off flash rust for up to 72 hours, which gives you time to prime.

When it's the right choice

  • Stripping paint and rust from trucks, tractors, trailers, frames and parts
  • Removing bottom paint, epoxy and marine growth from hulls
  • Cleaning fleet vehicles, heavy equipment, curbs and line stripes
  • Restoring brick, stone, wood and pool tile, or removing graffiti

Because the equipment is mobile, we bring it to your location. Tell us about your project and we'll give you a free quote.
